Transparency, Fairness and consideration of impact in all matter.

I heard a great phrase locally, that captures community spirit, which I have adapted & adopted “Kind hands, kind feet and kind words”. In community activities, there are three political objectives and 12 focuses:

A. Safer, slower, cleaner streets:

1. Twenty is Plenty – on default residential side streets
2. Active travel – for healthy safe commutes
3. Sustainable housing development – that meet needs now & enable future generations  
4. Local facilities – for ease

B. Fair, local, objective politics:

1. Effective governance – so the community understands authorities’ ways
2. Officer & member accountability – to ensure decisions are explained transparently
3. Political party responsibility for candidates – for fair representations
4. Localism community engagement – for sensible democratic participation

C. Community Championship

1. Social contract – to understand what community rights exist
2. Economic activity through social enterprise – to create and share rewards
3. Engagement in local decision making – to suitably be consulted
4. Volunteering – to be able to contribute respectfully and fairly
